My friend Pat Kyser introduced me to Martha Pullen in 1988. That day Martha proposed a number of ideas – she would come to Australia to teach – I would teach in America – be the distributor for Sew Beautiful and her books, etc. etc. The rest is history? I think the saying goes, but I want to tell you a little about that history. Martha came to Australia many times and changed many lives. Ladies that sewed beautifully learnt to sew even more beautifully and then made a career from their sewing. The first time I taught for Martha at the School of Art Fashion, it was a dream come true for me, but I met the most wonderful, caring people that have stayed in my life for all these years, because Martha attracts wonderful, caring people. Martha is the most generous person I know, always sharing her knowledge and ideas with me, and I LOVE her. Without Martha, Anne’s Glory Box would not be looking at celebrating 40 years in February 2016, and my current dream is she will be there also!
